Over two hard fought rounds of match play Jenny Howlett of Gorleston Golf Club fought her way through to the final on Sunday of the Suffolk Ladies Senior Matchplay. This final match couldn't have been closer with both players demonstrating super skills. The match went on to the 20th hole when a super putt from Debbie Jary of Bungay Golf Club won her the title. Well played Jenny.

On Tuesday it was the turn of the Senior Jubilee Shield team to take on a team from Thorpeness Golf Club. This competition is played in a four ball better ball format with four pairs in each team. In super weather each of the Gorleston teams won their matches with a final score of 11 up. They progress to play in the quarter finals in July against a team from Stowmarket Golf Club, well done to all concerned.
