The Harold Mason competition took place on Tuesday 25 June with thirty six players playing in three ball format, off the yellow tees, full handicap stableford scoring.

The start time was delayed due to heavy rain at 09.00 hours. Play commenced at 09.15 with the weather getting better as the round got underway, finishing in a warm sunny day with a wind from the north making scoring tricky at times.

The scores at the end of the day where very close with Dave Wooden coming out top on 40 points, followed by Jim Robinson on 39 points and Ray Pope on 38 points on a count back.
A great meal was enjoyed by all thanks to Tim and his staff.

The course was in good condition after the rains of late with greens fast and true. Well done to Danny and his team.

At the end of the day comments were made about how quick the speed of 3 ball play is with most getting round in three and a half hours.
