It was Green's Maintenance Week at Gorleston Golf Club where Danny Perring and his team of Greens Staff work to repair and maintain the greens and course for the change of season. Temporary greens were in place and, therefore, the Ladies Section played a fun format Red, White and Blue Tee competition. The winners on the day were the pairing of Vicky Peake and Rosemary Hodgkin with a super 45 points and in second place were Anne Amos and Sheila Sterry with 44 points.

On Sunday the Men's Section played for the Ken Gough Trophy which is played as a fourball better ball bogey competition. The winners were Ian Root and Kevin Carter with a score of plus 8 and in second place with plus 6 were Peter Langford and James Marshall.

On Wednesday, in very testing weather conditions, the Ladies Section played for their Autumn Scratch Challenge Bowl and the President's Cup. In first place was Leigh Denny with a nett 72; second was Gail Chapman with a nett 75 and in third place was Vera Woolnough with a nett 78. The winner of the President's Cup and winning her first trophy was Leigh Denny (Picture). Continuing her successful golfing year was Gail Chapman who won the Autumn Scratch Challenge Bowl.
