Sunday 1st March saw the newly elected Gorleston Golf Club Captains Drive In. Driving In this year were Club Captain, Fred Simeons, Ladies Captain, Maureen Duckett, Seniors Captain, Peter Aldred and Junior Captain, Ceryse Fuller. This is a fun event which takes place every year on the Sunday following the Club's Annual General Meeting. Members estimate the distance the of the drives and the proceeds go towards the Captains' designated Charities.

The Men's Section played their Monthly Stableford Competition with the following results: Division 1 - first, Mark Seeley with 35 points on countback from Ben Leuty in second place. Division 2 - first, Andrew Garrod with 35 points, second, Dave Cox with 34 points on countback. Division 3 - first, Glenn Lark with 31 points on countback from Jeff Helmore in second place.

The Ladies Section played their Divisional Medal with the following results: Division 1 - first, with an excellent 66 nett was Julie Harbord, second was Victoria Watson with a nett 77. Division 2 - first, Maggie Hart with a nett 72 and in second place was Ladies President, Rosemary Woodhouse with a nett 73 on countback. Division 3 - first, Lisa Gillings with a nett 72 from Andree Bloomfield with a nett 78 in second place.

On Wednesday the Ladies Section played their Divisional Stableford Competition and the results are as follows: Division 1 - first, Jan Parsons with an excellent 40 points, second Julie Harbord with 32 points. Division 2 - first, Maggie Hart with 38 points and second with 34 points was Vera Woolnough. Division 3 - first, Lisa Gillings with 29 points on countback from Andree Bloomfield in second place.

On Thursday the Midweek Stableford results were as follows: Division 1 - first, Paul Farrow with 35 points on countback from David Watson in second place. Division 2 - first, Les Dukes with 35 points on countback from Alan Rash in second pl;ace. Division 3 - first, Colin Denny with 36 points and second with 35 points was Carl Ford.
